Thank you for choosing to book with Arendelle House. We look forward to welcoming you to our accommodation. By making this booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.

Our Responsibilities

Arendelle House undertakes to provide guest accommodation in the room(s) and dates agreed in the reservation. Once a reservation is made, the guest has entered into a binding contract with Arendelle House and these terms and conditions apply in full. Where a company, agency or similar has made the booking on behalf of the guest, the agreement is with that third party. Third parties should ensure that the guests are aware of these terms and conditions.

Prices

The price includes accommodation only, parking and WIFI are included, no breakfast is served.

Please note our prices are seasonal and based on demand.

Your booking

Your booking is as contracted for the number of nights and people. You are not allowed to have additional people staying in the room over and above the number contracted (i.e. you cannot have three people sleeping in a room where you have booked for two) without prior agreement. Arendelle House reserves the right to charge the full rate for any such unauthorised stay and/or to terminate the booking. In this eventuality, we will levy a charge of 100% of the agreed booking fee for any unused nights.

Booking Confirmation & Deposit

We might ask for a deposit and payment in full is required on arrival. Deposits are non-refundable if the reservation is cancelled less than 7 days prior to the date of arrival.

All bookings by email are confirmed by email.

Payment

Payment should be made on arrival by either cash, credit or debit card, or online by bank transfer or by a payment link provided by us. We do not accept some credit/debit cards so please ask if your card is acceptable. All credit card transactions are secure and no data collected is offered to third parties for any reason. All transactions comply to the relevant legal requirements at the time of the transaction. For bookings whose value exceeds £300, we reserve the right to request or take a non-refundable 10% deposit at the time of booking. The balance is payable on arrival in the normal way.

Cancellation of booking

By making your booking, our agreement is a legal contract, and you agree to our terms and conditions.

Should your travel arrangements change you should inform us as soon as practicable to allow us to re allocate the room(s).

Notice of cancellation of booking:

  • For bookings of 1 – 3 nights, providing we have at least 2 days’ (48hrs) notice of cancellation, no payments will be due but any deposit wis non-refundable. However, if you fail to notify us after this period any deposit is non-refundable and payment in full will become due.

  • For bookings of 4 nights and over, providing we have 2 days’ (48hrs) notice of cancellation, a charge for one night will become due (any deposit will be deducted from the final balance). no payments will be due. However, if you fail to notify us after this period any deposit is non-refundable and payment in full will become due.

  • For bookings of 4 nights and over, providing we have 7 days’ notice of cancellation, a 50% charge for the whole booking will become due (any deposit will be deducted from the final balance).

  • For bookings of 4 nights and over, providing we have over 7 days’ notice of cancellation, no payments will be due.

If you need to cancel the booking due to adverse weather conditions or exceptional family circumstances, we are happy to transfer your booking to another date if at all possible, should this be acceptable.

If you have booked through a third-party website, please contact them directly to cancel the booking.

 

Pets

Sorry, we do not allow pets in every room under any circumstances.

 

We only accept pets in one room (to be released in Jan 2022), for which you need to check availability at the time of the booking. The pet charge is £10 per pet per stay.

 

Acceptance of Children

We welcome children in our accommodation accompanied by an adult.  Please note the maximum capacity in our rooms at time of booking. If in any doubt, please do get in touch.

We can accommodate for young babies and by prior arrangement and free of charge, a travel cot can be provided; however, we do ask that you provide all your own bedding for the cot.

​

Non-availability of Accommodation

We would only cancel your stay if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to find you alternative accommodation, if we were unable to find suitable accommodation our liability would not extend beyond this point.

Arrival & check in procedure

Your accommodation will be available to you from 5.30pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. We may not be able to accommodate you if you arrive earlier than the agreed time as we will be busy preparing your rooms. However, you may park in our car park anytime from 4pm.

 

It is much appreciated if you will notify us of your estimated time of arrival (an email or a telephone call on the day before or morning of arrival is fine).

 

Late arrival procedure

Please ensure you contact us to let us know if you will be arriving later than 9pm and inform us of your new estimated time of arrival. We can arrange and send you information regarding self-check procedure up to 10pm for those guests who have paid in advance only.

 

Check out procedure

We respectfully remind guests that Arendelle House is a family run business and is NOT a hotel, therefore: Please vacate your room by 10.00am, unless otherwise arranged. We can sometimes accommodate late check-out, but this does incur a fee.

Rooms

Eating take away meals in rooms is no longer allowed as they can leave after smells and can cause staining if the food comes into contact with bedding or carpets etc. We accept that sandwiches and drinks can be consumed in the rooms, but care should be taken to avoid spillage etc.

​

Guests are not expected to stay in the room all day but,if they do, no housekeeping services will be provided, and no heating will be available in the rooms.

​

We have 2 ensuite rooms and 1 room with a shared bathroom

​

All of our rooms are equipped with a kettle.

​

Smoking

In accordance with the Law there is a no smoking policy in force at Arendelle House.

​

You may smoke outside the property on the footpath but please discard your waste safely and appropriately. A standard cleaning charge of £50.00 per night will be levied on guests who smoke in their rooms.

​

There is a fire alarm system in operation and if this is set off by guests smoking anywhere in the house you will be asked to vacate the premises and forfeit any monies paid, this is non-negotiable.

​

Damages and Breakages

Please take care when staying in our establishment. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. We ask is that you do report any incidents when they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may charge you for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.

​

Behaviour

Please remember that you are sharing Arendelle House with other guests and – please behave accordingly. Please be aware of fellow guests if coming in very late or leaving early from the Guest House, and when watching TV, talking on your phone or playing music. Quiet time is between 10pm and 8am, please respect this. We reserve the right to terminate bookings if faced with unreasonable or anti-social behaviour.

We do not tolerate racist, sexist, homophobic or otherwise discriminatory language or behaviour and we reserve the right to terminate a booking on receipt of a complaint. Please contact the owners as soon as possible if you have an issue with the behaviour of a fellow guest.

Liability

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

 

We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of replacing any items that are removed from the premises by them without consent. The charge will be the full replacement amount of the missing item, including any carriage charges. Should the fact that the item is missing come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit or debit card or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address.

We reserve the right to take action against any guest found to have tampered or interfered with any fire detection equipment throughout the Guest House, including detector heads in public areas and bedrooms, break glass points and fire extinguishers. Guests found to have tampered with any fire detection or fire fighting equipment will be charged with any costs incurred by the hotel due to their actions and additionally may be asked to leave the hotel. Should the fact that fire fighting or detection equipment had been tampered with come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guests credit or debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address.

Replacement keys are charged at £30.00 each.

​

We will use our best efforts to return any items left behind by a guest after their stay but reserve the right to recoup any costs incurred by Arendelle House.

​

Security

Arendelle House expect your room and the front door of the property to be closed & locked at all times. We request that all guests follow this safety and security measure. We reserve the right to refuse admission and exclude visitors from our accommodation.

Loss of or Damage to Guests’ Property

Under the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956, an hotel proprietor may in certain circumstances be liable to make good any loss of or damage to a guest’s property even though it was not due to any fault of the proprietor or staff of the hotel. This liability however:

  • a) extends only to the property of guests who have engaged sleeping accommodation at the hotel;

  • b) is limited to £50 for any one article and a total of £100 in the case of any one guest, except in the case of property which has been deposited, or offered for deposit, for safe custody;

  • c) does not cover motor-cars or other vehicles of any kind or any property left in them, or horses or other live animals.

 

This notice does not constitute an admission either that the Act applies to this hotel or that liability thereunder attaches to the proprietor of this hotel in any particular case.

Privacy Policy

Any data collected during the course of this booking will be stored on our computer(s).  With your permission we may from time to time contact you about promotions and offers.  We will not share your details with any third party.
